About the artwork

I created Spring Skin to show that every race and ethnicity can be beautiful. People can be different—and that’s exactly what makes us unique. We don’t all have to look the same or have the same skin color. No matter your body type, you’re beautiful. No matter where you come from, you’re beautiful.

We should use our differences to bring each other together and lift each other up—not tear each other down. That’s why I made this piece: so people from different backgrounds can come together and celebrate the richness of our cultures.

Artist bio

At just 13 years old, I am a passionate young artist with a growing portfolio of accomplishments. My work has been showcased by a dance company, where I also created a custom prop for a live performance. I’ve had the honor of exhibiting my art at the Newfields Museum with the Iibada Dance Company.

I’m continuing to seek new opportunities to share my work with a broader audience. I’m also exploring illustration and hope to contribute to published books in the near future.

Through my art, I aim not only to express imagination and beauty but also to inspire others—especially young people—to treat one another with kindness, respect, and empathy. I hope to make a positive impact on the world.
